February 10-13, 2025, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Wood Science and Technology.On the first day, the event began with an overview of the project by UL and ESI, including the timeline and work packages, followed by reflections. After a coffee break, WP1 on Project Management and Coordination was discussed, covering the management plan, quality plan, and feedback.
Following a lunch break, participants visited the laboratories of the Department of Wood Science and Technology. In the afternoon, financial management was addressed by UL, covering financing rules, budget modifications, and an evaluation of the first day.
The second day started with registration and coffee, leading into WP2 discussions on the research report and VET providers training program, including task planning and deadlines. After a coffee break, WP5 on dissemination and visibility was reviewed, including a presentation and decision on the project logo, web platform discussions, and project sustainability considerations. The meeting wrapped up with final reflections.
The goal of the project is to enhance sustainability skills, reskill and upskill the furniture workforce, and support the transition to a greener, circular economy through innovative vocational education and training (VET).
The #SusFurProject is co-funded by the European Union and is implemented by a consortium of partners to sustainable innovation in the furniture sector.
